The Gamma Pi Boulé Foundation is a distinguished institution in the Chattanooga, Tennessee region, renowned for its longstanding tradition of positively impacting the community. The Foundation provides financial support to local organizations that offer inspiration, motivation, and scholarships. Additionally, these organizations foster long-term relationships and professional development opportunities for our next generation of leaders.

Paul A. McDaniel Boulé Scholarship Banquet 2025

The Paul A. McDaniel Boulé Scholarship Banquet, held on May 1, 2025, at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center, was an event dedicated to honoring the late Reverend Paul A. McDaniel by celebrating the achievements of four distinguished scholars from the High School Class of 2025. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Troy Kemp, a nationally recognized educator, Hall of Fame coach, and transformational leader.

The scholarships are awarded to high school seniors who reside in the southeast Tennessee region and have been accepted to accredited four-year colleges or universities. These renewable awards are made based on high character, superior academic achievement, leadership skills, and a demonstrated willingness to use their talents to improve society.

The distinguished Paul A. McDaniel Boulé scholars for 2025:

Aaron Williams, an honor student and TVA intern from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, who plans to study computer engineering with a focus on machine learning at North Carolina A&T State University.
Colin Richardson, the valedictorian from Chattanooga Preparatory School, who is pursuing a degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Tennessee Knoxville.
Timothy Rice III, an honor student from Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences, who aims to become a business leader at Middle Tennessee State University. He is also the 2025 National Urban League Project Ready College Fair Scholarship recipient.
Samuel Font, an honor student from Notre Dame High School, who aspires to become a computer scientist specializing in cybersecurity at Tennessee State University.

In honor of his legacy, through a rigorous screening process, we aim to preserve the distinct honor associated with this scholarship so that it will continually serve as a reflection of Reverend McDaniel’s character and as an inspiration to all recipients. The event served as a fitting tribute to the late Reverend Paul A. McDaniel’s legacy, by celebrating and acknowledging the promising futures of these exceptional scholars.

Benjamin Benford Sledge II from STEM High School will attend North Carolina A&T University, majoring in electrical engineering.
Jeremiah Adams from the Chattanooga School for the Arts and Sciences will attend Middle Tennessee State University, majoring in marketing.
Bryce Sanders from McCallie High School will attend Georgia State University, majoring in kinesiology.

What is the Paul A McDaniel Boulé Scholarship Classic?

The major fundraising source for the Gamma Pi Boulé Foundation has been the Paul A. McDaniel Boulé Scholarship Golf Classic. This event is held annually , typically in the month of May, traditionally at the Brown Acres golf course in Chattanooga,Tennessee. This event has been sponsored by an ever-growing list of local and regional businesses, organizations and individuals who support our mission. Thanks to this extraordinary growth, the event has been relocated to the Council Fire Golf Club also here in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

The Council Fire Golf Club offers not only a new venue for this event , but has terrific scenery, challenging play at all levels and extraordinary fairways. This most recent tournament in June 2025 showed significant growth and raised close to $100,000

These funds continue to support four individual four year scholarships. Annual renewal of these scholarships is based on predetermined academic criteria. As of 2025, close to $200,000 have been awarded since the inception of the program in 2013.

The Paul A. McDaniel Boulé Scholarship Golf Classic was rightfully named in honor of Reverend Paul A. McDaniel. Reverend McDaniel was a widely respected community icon, religious leader, long time pastor, trailblazing political leader and official, and civil rights leader with influence throughout the Greater Chattanooga region , the state of Tennessee and the nation.
